September 16, 2019 — Unity Scientific, a KPM Analytics Company, announces the release of UCal 4, a complete chemometric toolbox for the creation, optimization and validation of NIR calibrations. UCal 4 Calibration Software helps derive value from NIR analytical programs with algorithms for custom NIR calibrations of almost any product including food, agricultural and industrial applications.
With UCal 4’s qualitative analysis capabilities, companies can now create custom calibrations for product conformity determination or detection of adulterants. For identification of non-conforming samples, UCal 4 includes 5 chemometric algorithms and a built-in independent validation routine for rapid determination of the classification parameters. The resulting conformity models can be configured in parallel with quantitative models for simultaneous product and compositional analysis from Unity SpectraStar analyzers.
Variance scaled PLS is now available for performance and predictions from most applications. A locally weighted regression algorithm delivers predictions from large, diverse or non-linear calibration sets. The batch processing system allows for an automated iterative evaluation of standard calibration parameters for optimization of data sets.
The new Project Manager tool provides access and file management across multiple project and applications, while the population structuring routines identify samples for calibration.
