Decatur, Illinois (WAND) Southside Country Club, Macon Resources, Inc. We are partnering with to create a golf camp for adults with disabilities. This is the first of its kind, and Nick Tote, general manager and head golf professional at the Southside Country Club, says it’s great to be able to build this bond with MRI.
The camp provides 60 adults with basic golf skills such as driving, chipping and putting. Pro shop staff, club volunteers, MRI staff, and the Millikin Golf team will help teach in four summer lesson sessions.
MRI President and CEO Amy Briefnick says this will teach these adults more about money and will help them both mentally and physically this summer.
One adult shares the experience of the first golf lesson.
