New bathing platforms have been introduced to improve accessibility into the sea on two beaches in Los Alcázares.
In a move for the beaches in Los Alcázares to become more accessible for people with reduced mobility, disabilities and/or the elderly, two new adaptable bathing platforms have been installed on the beaches of Carrión and Los Narejos.
In an initiative launched by the Los Alcázares Tourism and Beaches Department, the new bathing platforms are designed to allow those using them an opportunity to enjoy the sea safely when it may not have been possible before.
The platforms can be adapted to the capabilities of people with reduced mobility, disabilities and/or the elderly, and the Tourism and Beaches Department is also set to launch further helpful elements to improve sea accessibility.
The beaches of Carrión and Los Narejos in Los Alcázares will also be getting amphibious chairs and crutches, walkers, therapeutic floats and a ‘flexi-walkway’ to reach the water.
